History

Kentucky Service Company Incorporated was founded in 1968 by Charles Moore and Ronald Riggs as an electric motor refrigeration service company with the first customer being The Kroger Company. In the early 1970’s the refrigeration division was sold and focus was on the repair and sale of electric motor related equipment.

In 1990 Doug Moore and Robin Riggs purchased controlling stock from their fathers and took the company in a new direction, investing in new technology, equipment and procedures to meet the demands of an expanding market.

In 2002 Kentucky Service built a new facility designed to accelerate work flow and testing, doubling the square footage and adding multiple overhead hoist systems. Also added was an Air Conditioned shop to make the employees comfortable and a more efficient working environment.

By the end of 2012 we have invested 1.5 million in the past 3 years for new equipment including CNC machining equipment, vibration analysis software, Flir thermal imaging, service trucks, larger more efficient cleaning ovens, and 300KVA test center with computerized reporting as well as many other items.

We continue to invest and recruit the best employees in the electric motor and pump industry, providing training programs in our training center via webinars monthly, hosting in house seminars taught by E.A.S.A engineers as well as providing our own training by our in house managers and engineers and offer this at no cost to our customer base.
